About the Studio

Hello,
I'm Sara.

I'm the hands (and the slightly muddy apron) behind Saramics. What started as a Tuesday-night evening class turned into a little studio full of clay, glaze tests and far too many mugs.

Every piece I make is thrown, trimmed and glazed by me, one at a time. I love pottery that feels good in your hands and gets used every single day, not saved for best.

Fleetwood Mac and a true-crime podcast or two.

Morning ritual

Oat flat white, in a wonky mug from my first batch.

Can't live without

My trimming tools and a very patient dog.

to your kitchen table

Carving the foot once it's leather-hard.

Dipping, layering and crossing my fingers.

  5. 05

    Fire

Two trips through the kiln, up to 1240°C.
